What is the Lagree Method?


 

The Lagree Method is a high intensity, low impact full body workout done on the patented Megaformer machine, making it easier on your joints than other high intensity workouts. In this 45-minute workout you will get an effective combination of strength, endurance, core, cardio, balance, and flexibility in every movement. The method stresses constant time under tension, maximizing time in the moves, with fast transitions. By doing each movement slowly, the tension on the muscles stays constant, recruiting more muscle fibers. Working the muscles with control keeps the joints safe and stimulates the intrinsic muscle fibers and connective tissues. In summary, slow and controlled movements like the ones done in every class at Embody, activate the slow-twitch fat-burning muscle fibers, which in turn effectively stimulates the body for maximum results.

 
 

What is the Megaformer?


The Megaformer is a patented machine created by Sebastien Lagree, fitness icon and innovator of Lagree Fitness. Sebastien has effectively evolved the Megaformer over the years to get the perfect design to maximize your workout. Here at Embody we have 10 M3S machines, with the all new SuperFast Spring Technology. With a combination of 8 different springs we are able to adjust the weight level and difficulty of your megaformer to design a workout completely tailored to you.
